SOCCER
Mineola Soccer offers a comprehensive player development pathway for boys and girls of all youth ages and abilities, from introductory grassroots programs through to competitive travel soccer. Our goal is to create a positive, supportive environment where players can develop technical skills, game understanding, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game.
Our programs are built around age-appropriate training, qualified coaching, and a strong emphasis on sportsmanship, teamwork, and enjoyment. Whether a player is new to soccer or looking for a more competitive experience, Mineola Soccer provides a clear pathway for growth.
Training & Seasons
Our soccer year runs from September through June and is divided into three seasons:
- Fall (September – November): Outdoor training and league matches
- Winter (December – February): Indoor training and select indoor competitions
- Spring (March – June): Outdoor training, league play, and tournaments
Training frequency varies by age group and level:
- Younger and developmental teams focus on foundational skills and game understanding
- Travel teams train multiple times per week and participate in league play and tournaments
Locations
Outdoor training and matches take place at fields within the Mineola community and surrounding areas, while winter sessions are held at local indoor facilities. Exact locations and schedules are communicated to families via TeamSnap prior to each season.
Our Philosophy
Mineola Soccer is committed to:
- Player development over results
- Creating a fun, inclusive, and respectful environment
- Preparing players for the next level of soccer while keeping the game enjoyable
- Supporting families through clear communication and strong organization
We take pride in being a community-driven program that values both development and connection — on and off the field.
WELCOME! Saturday- April 18th, 2026
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are thrilled to welcome you and your young soccer stars to our intramural youth soccer program! Whether your child is just starting out or already has some experience on the field, we're excited to provide a fun and engaging environment where they can learn, grow, and, most importantly, have a blast playing soccer.
Here at Mineola Soccer Club, we believe that soccer is more than just a game—it's an opportunity for children to develop valuable skills, build friendships, and foster a love for physical activity. Our program is designed to provide a positive and supportive experience for every player, regardless of their skill level or background.
Our intramural program is clinic-based and introductory, focusing on skill development, small-sided activities, and learning the fundamentals of the game. The emphasis is on participation, learning, and fun rather than competition. Sessions will be structured and organized by our coaches, but this program does not include official teams, referees, standings, or formal games. Here are a few important reminders to help everything run smoothly throughout the program:
First Day Arrival: Please plan to arrive 10–15 minutes early for the first session so we can get everyone organized efficiently. Players are pre-assigned into groups to help keep numbers balanced and ensure a smooth start to the season.
Upon arrival, please check in at the table to receive your child’s assigned group.
Please stay in your assigned group unless a coach or staff member makes an official adjustment. This is very important to keep group sizes balanced and ensure a consistent experience for all players.
Once you’ve located your field, parents and spectators must remain off the playing field at all times.
For safety and to keep the field area clear, spectators should remain along the sidelines. We kindly ask that you avoid standing directly behind the goals or nets so all players have space to safely play and coaches have full visibility of the field.
Please allow coaches to run the session without interruption. If you need to speak with a coach or staff member, please wait until a break or the end of the session.
PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU SIGNED UP FOR THE APPROPRIATE TIME/AGE GROUP

Equipment: Program T-shirts are the same as previous seasons. If your child already has a shirt that fits, they are welcome to wear that. If you still need to purchase a shirt, you can order here: https://allstyleapparelstore.com/stores/p/msc
Please note that there is approximately a two-week turnaround on shirt orders, so newly ordered shirts will most likely not be available for the first session.
We will also have a limited number of additional shirts available on-site, but sizes cannot be guaranteed and will be first come, first served.
Important: If your child does not have a program shirt yet, that is completely fine. They can simply wear any comfortable athletic shirt for the first sessions until their program shirt arrives.
Additional equipment:
Soccer cleats (sneakers are acceptable, but players run the risk of slipping on grass)
Shin guards
Water bottle
Soccer ball (suggested but not mandatory)
Ball Size Guide
Size 5 – Best suited for players 12 years old and older
Size 4 – Best suited for players 7–12 years old
Size 3 – Best suited for players 7 years old and younger
Cancellation: If a session is canceled, due to a club decision (not the village or park). We’ll only make up one rain-out date—see above for our designated make-up day. Cancellation emails will go out no later than one hour before your scheduled start time.
Fun and Growth: Our primary goal is for every child to have fun, make friends, and grow as both individuals and athletes throughout the season.
Thank you,
Coach Rob Mendes RobertMendes@CM4soccer.com
